Some of the best urban sketching discoveries happen by accident. On a casual walk through the neighbourhood, we stumbled upon something entirely unexpected — a World War II shooting range perched at the top of a very steep hill in Budapest’s 2nd district.
The structure had long since been reclaimed by street artists, its weathered walls covered in graffiti that turned the old military relic into an open-air gallery. From up there, the view over the second district unfolded beautifully — rooftops, treetops, and the quiet rhythm of the city below.
